ICLCS presents at Sloan Conference for Online Learning

ICLCS researchers Yong Zeng and Edee Wiziecki presented a paper titled "Facilitating Changes in Teaching Practice Through Science Teachers' Vicarious Experiences in a Professional Learning Environment" at the 17th Annual Sloan Consortium International Conference on Online Learning on November 11, 2011.

Researchers examine the relationship between changes in teaching practice and the number of vicarious experiences gained by reading peer accounts of implementing some specific strategy in an online learning community. Results indicate a significant relationship between changes in teaching practice and the number of vicarious experience gained by participating teachers.

The ICLCS presentation is available on the Conference Web site.
